Ways to Use the World Wide Web

Today was the 100th Ways to Use It Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. The challenge was to use something on the world wide web as inspiration for a project. That's a big challenge for me, since most of my inspiration comes straight from SCS . . . So, I ended up turning to card sketches from Becky Fleck's Page Maps site. The Page Maps site has sketches for all sizes (and shapes) of scrapbook pages and cards, too--definitely a great resource.
This card uses the new You Make Me Happy set. For some reason, I'm leaning towards earthy tones when using this set--maybe it's because of all of the natural-looking textures in the images. Anyway, the color combination for this card came from the SU! Color Coach. The flowers are stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut out, then attached to the cardfront with dimensionals. I played around with the placement of the Apricot pieces for a while to get them to "fit." To create the piece for the sentiment at the bottom of the card, I used the trick for elongating the word window punch that I learned on SCS. The Bravo Burgundy cardstock is stamped with the Dotted background stamp to complement the circles in the centers of the flowers.

Materials Used:
From Stampin' Up!; You Make Me Happy, Linen, and Dotted stamp sets; Bravo Burgundy, Apricot Appeal, Mellow Moss, and Very Vanilla cardstock; Bravo Burgundy, Apricot Appeal, and Mellow Moss Classic inks; stampin' dimensionals; 1/2" circle punch; word window punch
Other: copper square brads (Joann Craft Essentials)
