Craft Show Creations, Part 2

Here is another item created for the upcoming craft show. This is a tile dry erase memo board and a set of matching tile coasters. The board and coasters were created by stamping the large flower image from You Make Me Happy in Staz-on ink on the tiles. This started as an experiment--we weren't sure that a textured image like this one would work well on the smooth surface of the large white tile or on the more irregular surface of the smaller tumbled tiles. Both turned out fantastic! The flower looks great stamped in vibrant colors. After stamping and allowing for drying time, the images were sealed with two coats of matte acrylic sealer spray. To make sure the tile retained its dry erase properties, we created a mask to cover the areas of the board that are unstamped and will be the writing portion of the board. We'll be packaging the dry erase boards with a dry erase marker and a 3 inch white vinyl stand (purchased online from Xylem Designs).

Materials Used:
From Stampin' Up!: You Make Me Happy stamp set
Other: Staz-on inks in a variety of colors; tiles (6 x9 shower tiles, 4x4 tumbled tiles); Patricia Nimock matte acrylic sealer
