As soon as I saw this card, I thought about the Cuttlebug Smoosh technique I had seen in the most recent Technique Junkies newsletter. For info about subscribing to this fabulous newsletter, click here. I've been wanting to try this technique, so I thought I'd use it for this card. I picked the Spots and Dots embossing folder since it reminded me of the pattern on the alligator by Rubber Soul. This technique is a fun and easy way to add some interest to a card. I layered the embossed panel on a piece of Brilliant Blue cardstock. For some reason, even though I really like blue, I almost never use this color . . .The images are from an acrylic stamp set of fun animals by Rubber Soul. So cute, I just couldn't resist adding them to my collection!I found a green pigment ink similar to SU!'s Gable Green for stamping the gator. The sentiment is stamped directly on the card base. I used the word window punch to make a spot for it. The clear acrylic stamp made it so easy to get the image centered and placed correctly
Be sure to check back later today--I will have some fun and exciting news to share with you . . .
