No More "Merry"

I guess it's a good thing that it's just about the end of the holiday card making season since I've almost reached the end of my stash of My Mind's Eye Be Merry papers. I love the fun patterns and colors in this line. Fortunately, they have a fabulous new Valentines Day line that I can shift over to so I won't go into withdrawal! You can see the new goodies here. I've already ordered some of the new stuff and they should be arriving at my house any day now (maybe even today . . .). I used what little is left of my wintery stuff to create this card using this week's sketch challenge from Paper Craft Planet. The sketch was provided by DT member Jen.

This card has no stamping--none at all! I used die cut elements from the Be Merry Accessory Sheet for the image panel. I placed the tree directly on the Baja Breeze panel and used a dimensional to attach the snowman so it looks a little "closer" than the tree. I used some Stardust Stickles on the tree to fancy it up just a little bit.

I used a piece of My Mind's Eye Snowball Fun paper along with some coordinating solid cardstock scraps to create the panels on the cardfront. I knotted a piece of pink twill and added that across one of the panels. I used another die cut from the Accessory Sheet, the word "joy," for the sentiment. I embellished that with a pair of brads on either side of the word before adding it to the cardfront.

And since the holidays are fast approaching and everyone's got gifts and gift giving on their mind, be sure to stop by Carolyn's blog for a chance to win some fabulous blog candy from IHP . . .

Materials Used:

other: Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Regal Rose, and Baja Breeze cardstock, mat pack and paper piercing tool, silver brads, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!)
