Snuggle Bunny Set

I made this sweet snuggle bunny themed gift set for this month's My Favorite Things guest designer contest. This month's challenge was to incorporate fabric of some kind in your project. I went with a custom made baby onesie for my fabric item.

I stamped the snuggling bunny image from the Snuggle Bunnies stamp set in Palette ink on a plain white baby onesie. After letting the ink set for a few minutes, I colored the image with Copic markers in a baby-like color palette. So that the ink from the markers wouldn't run through to the back of the onesie, I inserted a piece of white cardstock between the front and back. This also made it a little easier to color. After I finished coloring the image, I added part of one of the set's sentiments next to the colored image. I used a sticky note to mask off the words I wanted to omit when inking the stamp.

I made a simple acetate box to wrap the onesie in. The box top and bottom are solid blue cardstock and the scalloped edge is made from a white dotted patterned paper that includes the shades I used to color the onesie. A coordinating blue button-embellished bow decorates the top of the box.

I also made a coordinating bib-shaped card to round out the gift set. I used the largest of the Nestabilities big scalloped circles for the base and the same dotted paper I used on the acetate box for the front of the bib. I colored the bunny image to match the one on the onesie and carefully cut it out, then attached it to the card. The "snuggle bunny" sentiment finished it all off.

Materials Used:
Snuggle Bunny stamp set (My Favorite Things); Noir Black ink (Palette); markers (Copic); Bashful Blue cardstock, Bashful Blue ribbon (Stampin' Up!); designer paper (Marcella); buttons (Papertrey Ink); acetate; onesie
