Having a Ball

Here's my first card as a SCS clean and simple challenge design team member. This week's challenge was a fun sketch. I went with a beach theme in honor of summer coming to a close with today's holiday.

The four square panels are a simple beach scene, made with a blue panel with torn kraft strips along the bottom. The kraft strips are rubbed with white pigment ink and dotted with the sand image from the Summer Sand set from Clear and Simple Stamps. I used a cloud template and CSS's Trendsetter Blue ink to sponge some clouds on to the panel before cutting it into quarters.

For the accent piece, I stamped the set's beach ball image in black ink on a white scrap. The ball is colored with Copic markers, cut out and attached to the cardfront with some foam tape. The set's "having a ball" sentiment is stamped next to the ball in ink that matches the card base.

Materials Used:
Summer Sand stamp set, Perfect Little Black Dress ink, Trendsetter Blue, Simply Blue-tiful, Kraft Like a Rockstar, and A Blanc Check cardstock (Clear and Simple Stamps); markers (Copic-B00, B02, B37, YG05, YG25); Fresh Snow ink (Papertrey Ink); Tempting Turquoise Classic ink (Stampin' Up!); Rich Cocoa ink (Memento); foam tape; cloud template; sponge
