Home

I thought the new mother and daughter Flapper Doodle set from My Favorite Things was just too sweet to resist. The tall image panel was just perfect for today’s SCS sketch challenge.

I colored the image using Copic markers, picking a bold red for the mother’s dress and a softer pink for the little girl’s. The hearts are stamped in red and covered with a little bit of Stickles for a sparkly touch. The image is set on a black panel to set it off.

I picked two patterns from Papertrey Ink’s Simple Valentine paper collection for the big panels on the cardfront. Each of those is matted on black, too, to tie everything together. The panels are arranged on a red cardfront. I added the coordinating sentiment on a circle, accented with a red ribbon tab. Too sweet!

Sorry for the super short post, but it’s time to cheer on the Capitals in the opening night of their playoff series with the NY Rangers. Go Caps!
