Have a Super Day

Here’s my card for this week’s My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch. I haven’t played with this Pure Innocence Super Boy image in a while and it was a perfect match for the new October Afternoon Rocket Age papers—take a look!

I colored the superhero image with Copic markers and layered the colored image on a red oval. I used two different patterned papers from the paper collection for the panels on the cardfront. The dotted paper is edged with a blue strip punched along the bottom with a star design.

I didn’t have much room left for a sentiment, so I ended up stamping it on the ribbon strip that sits across the patterned paper panel. My favorite ink for this is the hybrid ink from Clear and Simple Stamps—it doesn’t bleed on fabrics and such. I’m loving these glittery chipboard stars and they were a good fit for my card’s theme, so I went ahead and added one of the bigger ones to the bottom of the image panel.

Come back later on today for another sparkly star card . . .
