Blogger Challenge: Week 227

This week’s blogger challenge theme is happy haunting. I emphasized the “happy” part in my Halloween card featuring the cute little witch image from the Witchy set from The Cat’s Pajamas.

I used this week’s CPS sketch as a starting point for my card, then mixed and matched a pair of patterned papers in Halloween-like oranges and greens. The patterned papers are layered on deep purple panels and machine stitched along the edges, then set on a green card base. I wrapped a strip of purple satin ribbon around the panels.

The little witch image is colored with Copic markers. I used the out of the box technique to cut out the panel so that the very top of the witch’s hat extends over the panel’s border. The image is matted on an orange circle and accented with a purple satin bow. I stamped the set’s “witch way is the candy?” sentiment on a little strip of orange paper and set it along the edge of one of the patterned paper panels.
