The theme for this month’s Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Dance is felt or cozy fabrics. I used a small bit of felt to add a whimsical touch to my card for the dance.
I used this month’s Sketch for You to Try as the starting point for my design. The focal image panel is a simple scene featuring the car and driver image from the Half Pint Heroes set. The car’s colored with Copic markers and attached to the scene with foam tape.
I found a red and blue patterned paper to use for the large panel underneath the image. I attached the panels to the cardfront along with a strip of wide light blue grosgrain ribbon and a pair of narrower cardstock strips that were a perfect fit for the “driving by saying hi” sentiment. To incorporate some fabric, I die cut a cloud from felt and set it at the top of the image panel along with a yellow button “sun” to finish the little scene. This is one of my favorite little embellishment groupings. In fact you may have seen it--or will see it--on my blog a few more times this week . . .
