This week’s blogger challenge theme is masculine cards. I used a new set from Clear and Simple Stamps called The States Too for my card. The set’s a companion to the The States set and has matching dies, too.
I stayed pretty simple here, stamping the outline map of the continental United States on a manila shipping tag in dark blue ink. The edges of the tag are inked with distress inks for a more aged look. It’s set over a kraft card base dressed up with a pair of red and blue notch edged strips. I placed the tag so that just a little bit extended beyond the card’s right edge. To bring in a little more red, I threaded a piece of red satin ribbon through the tag’s hole and knotted it. The set’s “oh, the places you will go” sentiment is stamped at the bottom of the card in brown ink.
