Blogger Challenge: Week 261

This week’s blogger challenge theme is a great sketch. With summer in full (very hot) force here, I went for a summery card featuring the new Fresh Preserves set from WPlus9 and a mix of patterned papers.

I used the Preserves Jar dies to cut out a jar, lid, and label shape, then stamped the matching images on the die cut shapes. I used some of the new Memento ink colors—love them! After assembling the jar, I used dimensional dots to attach it to a pale pink panel.

I mixed and matched several different papers from Echo Park’s This & That line for the panels on the card. To add texture to the design, I wrapped the woodgrain patterned paper with some pink baker’s twine and placed a strip of red faux suede ribbon at the top of the panel before setting the image panel in place. There’s more layers on this one than on my usual designs, which was a challenge for me, but I like how it turned out.

For more ideas using this sketch, check out the projects linked below. And, feel free to link up a newly created project of your own for the challenge.
