You Knock My Socks Off

Here’s my card for the current Lawnscaping challenge to use patterned paper. I combined the challenge with this week’s Mojo Monday sketch for this sweet card.

I used the pair of socks from Lawn Fawn’s My Silly Valentine stamp set as my focal image. The socks were stamped on a piece of white cardstock, shaded a bit with Copic markers, cut out, and attached to a round panel with dimensional dots. Once they were in place, I dotted just a little bit of Glossy Accents on the hearts for a nice shine.

For my patterned paper element, I used a strip of plaid paper from a My Mind’s Eye paper pad along the left side of the card. It has just a bit of red in it to go with the red hearts on the socks, so I used some red cardstock to make the scalloped edging for my panels and some red twill knotted around the cardfront, too. The matching sentiment is stamped in red ink in the open space at the bottom of the cardfront.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Lawn Fawn My Silly Valentine stamp set, X-Press white Copic blending cardstock, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black and Rhubarb Stalk inks, Copic markers (BG0000, R14), My Mind’s Eye Miss Caroline-Dilly Dally 6x6 paper pad, Ranger Glossy Accents, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other: Barely Banana, Riding Hood Red, and Bermuda Bay cardstock, scallop edge punch (Stampin’ Up!); red twill
