Chillax

Here's my card for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge to make a card that features something you'd see in the sky.  I still had the My Island set from Waltzingmouse Stamps on my desk from the other day, so I used the set's sun image to make a summery layered scene for the focal point of my card.

I stamped the distressed block image first in yellow ink, then stamped the sun image over that in an orange ink.  The smaller distressed block image was stamped at the bottom of the panel in blue ink to look like water.  The set's small palm trees image is stamped over all that in brown ink.  I sprayed the panel with some shimmer spray--it doesn't show in the photo, but it looks so pretty IRL!

The image is framed by a pair of layered windows--one made from yellow cardstock and one made from orange.  I used foam tape to set the windows over the image.  The set's "chillax" sentiment is stamped under the opening in brown ink.

Materials Used:
My Island stamp set (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Memento Tangelo, Dandelion, Bahama Blue, and Rich Cocoa inks, Sparkle Shimmer Spritz  (Tsukineko); So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); rectangle dies (Spellbinders); foam tape
