Get Inspired with IHP

For this month’s i {heart} papers design team challenge, our challenge coordinator Deb has found us a beautiful photo to use for inspiration that includes some a feminine flower filled container along with a few on trend elements like the aqua and coral colors and the decorative tape accents. I used the photo (found here) as inspiration to create a simple gift basket and tag using some new to IHP goodies.

I used my Silhouette to cut the small berry basket from textured aqua cardstock—I’m going to try to use this cool tool more in the future. I have to admit, it kind of scares me, which is crazy given that I have a masters degree in instructional technology . . . Anyway, I used some of IHP’s awesome i {stick} papers redline tape to put the basket together, then placed a small candle in a jar inside it.

The candle’s wrapped in some clear cellophane along with a tag made with the new WPlus9 Happy Harvest set. The set’s flower image is stamped directly on the white tag, using the rock and roll technique to get the two-toned flowers. I die cut a wooden basket shape using the coordinating dies, then stamped the matching image on it in Toffee Crunch ink and used dimensional dots to attach it to the tag. The “sending a bushel of thanks” sentiment is stamped in Teal Zeal ink on a scrap left over from cutting the basket. I attached it to the tag, overlapping a strip of chevron patterned washi tape. For a little texture, I wrapped some natural twine around the bottom of the tag and secured it with a white button. Some pretty white ribbon secures the tag to the candle.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the talented IHP team created based on this inspiration photo. Here’s where to find them:
