Hey There Dude

Here’s my card for this week’s Paper Smooches Sparks challenge. As soon as I saw the sketch provided for this week’s challenge, I thought of making a moonscape to use with my new Space Cadet set.

I made the moon from a scrap of yellow cardstock. It’s debossed with a random circle pattern and made shimmery with some Dandelion Fireworks spray. I found some star paper from a new My Mind’s Eye paper pad to make the perfect backdrop for the scene.

After adhering the moon, I added the little astronaut from the Space Cadet set using some dimensional dots. It’s colored with Copic markers. The front of the helmet’s coated with Glossy Accents for a glass like look. I stamped the “hey there dude” sentiment in black ink beneath the moon using words from the Sentiment Sampler and Word Salad sets.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Paper Smooches Space Cadet, Sentiment Sampler, and Word Salad stamp sets, X-Press white Copic blending cardstock, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Dandelion Fireworks, Copic markers (E000, E00, E11, R14, B0000, C1, C3), My Mind’s Eye Happy Day 6x6 paper pad, Lifestyle Crafts Polka Dots embossing folder, Ranger Glossy Accents, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other: Baja Breeze and Crushed Curry cardstock (Stampin’ Up!)
