Blogger Challenge: Week 272

This week’s blogger challenge theme is fall creations. With the steamy 90+ degree temperatures we’ve had here this week, it’s almost hard to believe that fall will be here soon! I made this clean and simple fall themed card based on last week's Clean and Simple Stamping sketch.

I stamped several different sized leaf images from Papertrey Ink’s Autumn Acorns stamp set along the right side of a white cardstock panel, using a different color ink for each size leaf. To add dimension, I stamped the largest leaf on a white die cut piece and adhered it to the panel with foam tape. It covers one of the small leaves I’d stamped, so I’m wishing I’d stamped another small one somewhere . . . The set’s “ever so grateful” sentiment is stamped to the left of the leaves in a caramel colored ink. To make the panel a little less of a bright white (probably should have started with a cream panel), I lightly inked the edges with some distress ink.

For more fall themed card and project ideas, check out the projects linked below. And, feel free to create a new project of your own and link it up for the challenge.

Materials Used:
Autumn Acorns stamp set, Autumn Acorn dies (Papertrey Ink); Morocco, Peanut Brittle, and Cantaloupe inks (Tsukineko); Creamy Caramel and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Tea Dye distress ink (Ranger); foam tape

  2. Very cute. I like the CAS design. Great for when you need a card quickly. - Love the colors and the way the leaves fall on the card.
I hear you, it's been in the 90's here as well so Fall really hasn't arrived other then cooler mornings.
