Bewitched

Here’s my card for this week’s Waltzingmouse sketch challenge. I used the sketch and this week’s Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black color combination from the Dynamic Duos challenge for this Halloween card.

I used the silhouette witch from the Hocus Pocus set as my focal image. It’s stamped on an orange panel in Versafine’s black ink for a nice, dark impression—this is my favorite ink for those solid images. I layered the image on a black circle, then used foam tape to adhere it to the center of a die cut doily circle.

I paired an orange striped paper with a solid orange one for the background. The seam between the two different papers is hidden with a strip of glitter tape and a piece of soft black velvet jumbo ric rac The doily is layered over the strips and accented with a pair of silver threaded buttons. I stamped the set’s “bewitched” sentiment at the bottom of the card to finish the card.

Materials Used:
Hocus Pocus stamp set (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Versafine Onyx Black ink (Tsukineko); Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Lush 2—Orange Stripedesigner paper (My Mind’s Eye); circle dies (Spellbinders); antique lace doily die (Lifestyle Crafts); glitter tape (American Crafts); black velvet ric rac, black buttons, silver lame cord (Michaels); foam tape
