Color Throwdown 212-The Tweetest Things

It’s time for another Color Throwdown! Barbara is our hostess this week and she’s brought us this fall inspired color combination to try—Early Espresso, Riding Hood Red, Blue Bayou, Sahara Sand, and More Mustard. I combined the colors with this week’s Mojo Monday sketch for this warm and cozy  design.

My focal image is a Sahara Sand birdhouse die cut with the CutUps Home Tweet Home die from The Cat’s Pajamas. The die cut piece is stamped with the coordinating text print image from the The Tweetest Things set. I used Memento’s Espresso Truffle ink for a deep, dark brown. I filled in the heart shaped opening in the birdhouse with a scrap of red cardstock. It’s layered on a Blue Bayou circle along with a strip of dark brown ribbon. I added a little knotted piece at the top of the birdhouse so that it looks like the bird house isn’t hanging in mid-air.

The set’s “you say the tweetest things” sentiment is stamped in red ink on a cream notch-ended panel. Everything is set on a piece of patterned paper from the paper collection that Bar took her inspiration from—had to fit some of that in, too!

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD212. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and our October guestie, Dawn Easton. We’re so happy to have her with us this month.
