Snow Adorable

Here’s my card for this week’s My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. I went for a wintery design in one of my favorite color combinations—aqua and red—for this one.

I used the little boy from the Pure Innocence Snow Adorable set as my focal image. He’s colored with Copic markers with the exception of the pom pom on his hat. That’s filled in with some white flock for a fluffy look. I used foam tape to attach him to a pair of layered circle panels.

I matched my patterned papers for the panels on the cardfront to the colors for the boy’s clothes. Each panel is matted on red cardstock and layered on an aqua panel. I stamped the set’s “snow adorable” sentiment in black ink on the dotted aqua panel, then edged the panel with a small scalloped strip. A little Fishtail Stax piece, die cut from red cardstock, sits at the bottom of the card. I added a silver snowflake brad to the tab for a little sparkle.

Materials Used:
Snow Adorable stamp set, Die-namics Fishtail Stax die (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); Real Red cardstock, scallop edge punch (Stampin' Up!); Aqua Mist cardstock, Aqua Mist and Pure Poppy patterned papers (Papertrey Ink); silver snowflake brad (Michaels); white flock (Stampendous); foam tape
