You Make Life Sweet

Here's a sweet card that I made for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge to create a card celebrating a special woman in your life in  honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I combined the challenge with one of this weekend's Paper Smooches World Card Making Day challenges to use pink for the same cause.

I used the cupcake from the Hullabaloo set as my focal image.  It's colored with Copic markers and the cherry on top is coated with Glossy Accents for a shiny look.  I cut out the colored image and layered it on a dotted patterned paper circle using dimensional dots.  The "you make life sweet" sentiment from the Sugar Rush set is stamped in black ink on a strip of bright pink faux suede ribbon.  The ribbon and image are set on a pale pink panel, just above a strip of dot embossing along the bottom edge.  Super sweet!

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papersSugar Rush and Hullabaloo stamp sets, X-Press white Copic blending cardstock, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Copic markers (R12, R14, R17, R27, R81, R83, R85, E21, E23, E25), My Mind's Eye Six by Six 2-Happy Day 6x6 paper pad, Lifestyle Crafts Polka Dot embossing folder, May Arts fuchsia faux suede ribbon, Ranger Glossy Accents, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots
