Big Birthday Wishes

Here’s my card for this week’s My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. I made a colorful birthday card based on the sketch.

I used girl with balloons from the a la modes Big Birthday Wishes set as my focal image. I colored the image with Copic markers and covered the colored balloons with a thin layer of Glossy Accents for a shiny look.

I combined two coordinating patterned papers on the cardfront, using a fun multicolored wave paper to cover most of the cardfront and a simpler dotted yellow panel at the lower right corner of the card. I stretched a strip of rose grosgrain ribbon down the length of the card before adding a pink dot embossed panel on an angle, then layering the image panel over that. The set's "big birthday wishes" sentiment is stamped on a white strip and set along the edge of the image panel.

Materials Used:
a la mode Big Birthday Wishes stamp set (My Favorite Things); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink cardstock, Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon (Stampin' Up!); Hip Hooray 6x6 paper pad (Pebbles); Polka Dot embossing folder (Cuttlebug); Glossy Accents (Ranger)
