Baby Congrats

Here’s a sweet card that combines the current Lawnscaping challenge to make a scene with the challenge from the Paper Players to make a baby card with buttons and bows. I used Lawn Fawn’s Plus One set to put this one together in a soft pastel palette perfect for welcoming a baby boy.

I used the set’s stork as my focal image. I shaded it a bit with Spectrum Noir markers, then paper pieced the bundle with some plaid patterned paper. The cutout image is attached to a light blue panel using dimensional dots. To round out the scene, I added a strip of polka dotted grass along the bottom and a fluffy white felt cloud with a baker's twine tied yellow button sun at the top. I topped the grass with a strip of ruffle edged trim to add a fun textured element. The panel is adhered to a pale yellow card base. I stamped the set’s “congrats” sentiment directly underneath panel to complete the design.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Lawn Fawn Plus One stamp set, X-Press white cardstock, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Spectrum Noir markers (IB1, IG1, IG2, IG3), Pebbles Family Ties 6x6 paper pad, Pollika white felt, Maya Road golden yellow ruffle edge trim, Divine Twine lemon yellow baker’s twine, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other: Soft Sky and Barely Banana cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); CutUps cloud border die (The Cat’s Pajamas); grass border punch (Fiskars); yellow button (Michaels); corner rounder
