Color Throwdown 230-With Gratitude

It’s time for another Color Throwdown! Barbara is our hostess this week and she’s found this pretty, earthy color combination to work with—Cajun Craze, Soft Suede, Lucky Limeade, Marina Mist, and Vanilla. I took my cue from the earth tones to pick the image I used on this thank you card

The tree is from Papertrey Ink’s Trendy Tree Tops set. I stamped the tree trunk in Soft Suede ink, then added the leaves using Memento Potter’s Clay ink. The bird is stamped with Marina Mist ink. I used Copic markers to add some grass around the base of the tree trunk.

I matted the stamped panel on Kiwi Kiss cardstock (no Lucky Limeade here, so I had to improvise!), then set it over a strip of Soft Suede cardstock topped with a rust colored ribbon. The panels are adhered to a piece of patterned paper with flecks of vanilla. I added the “with gratitude” sentiment from PTI’s Lovely Leaves set on a pair of layered fishtail flag die cut pieces, then balanced the design with a blue button tied with hemp cord.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD230. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and our February guestie, Kim Hahn.
