I Heart You

Here’s my card for this week’s My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. I used the sketch to make a sweet love themed card using one of the Pure Innocence sets.

The little heart-hugging girl is colored with Copic markers and cut out. I used foam tape to adhere her to a layered oval panel. The panel’s stamped with the “I heart you” sentiment from the Lovey Dovey Sentiments set. I wanted to use one of the sentiments that came in the PI set, but they were just a tiny bit too big to place where I wanted them on the oval panel, so I went with the smaller sentiment instead.

I used two coordinating paper patterns from a Valentine’s Day paper pad I picked up at Michaels for the smaller panels on the cardfront. I used a multicolored heart pattern for the pair of panels and a simpler pink dotted one for the panel that runs across the cardfront. The panels are matted on red cardstock, then layered on a pink dot embossed panel. I set the finished panel on an easy to write on cream card base.

Materials Used:
Pure Innocence Love You with All My Heart and Lovey Dovey Sentiments stamp sets (My Favorite Things); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black and Rhubarb Stalk inks (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette, and Very Vanilla cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); With Love 6x6 paper pad (Recollections-Michaels); oval dies (Spellbinders); Polka Dot embossing folder (Cuttlebug); foam tape
