Ten Minute Type

I put together this sweet card for the current 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge to use hearts. I had a piece of heart patterned paper on my table and used it as the starting point for my design, which took 9 minutes and 43 seconds to put together.

I adhered the heart patterned paper to the bottom of a piece of textured pink cardstock. The seam between the two papers is hidden by a strip of red ribbon. If I’d had more time, I would have used my ribbon iron to smooth the ribbon out . . . Anyway, I stamped the sentiment just above the ribbon in Versafine’s black ink for a nice, dark impression. After rounding the bottom corners of the patterned paper, I adhered the panel to a pale pink card base. I glued a wood veneer heart just to the left of the sentiment, then added a red notch-ended strip flush with the right edge of the card. I anchored the strip with some white gel pen faux stitching, bypassing my sewing machine to stay within the challenge time limits.

Materials Used:
Lots of Love stamp set (Avery Elle); Versafine Onyx Black ink (Tsukineko); Pink Pirouette, Real Red, and Melon Mambo textured cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); With Love 6x6 paper pad, red grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); wood veneer heart (Studio Calico); white pen (Ranger); corner rounder
