At my office, we pick birthday buddies and bring in a sweet treat for our assigned buddy’s birthday. Somehow, I ended up getting two buddies this year, so my second buddy’s birthday is coming up over the weekend. We’ll be celebrating tomorrow with fancy cupcakes from a local cupcake store. I made this card, based on this week’s sketch from Retro Sketches, to pass around for everyone to sign for the birthday girl.
Lil’ Inker Designs, for the elements along the left side of the card. I cut the hats from three different colors of cardstock, then mixed and matched the hats before adhering them to a white strip. The little pom pom at the top of each hat is dotted with a tiny clear crystal for a bit of sparkle. I edged the strip with a pale pink scalloped piece before attaching it to the rose card base. The “you’re never too old to wear a party hat” sentiment is stamped on an yellow notch-ended strip in a rosy pink ink and adhered to the panel with foam tape.
