CSS Release in Review Day 4-Tied up with a Bow

Release in Review week continues at Clear and Simple Stamps with a look at some pretty packaging ideas using our favorite CSS products. My project today shows off both sizes of the new Bow Trio dies and one of CSS's Party Favor dies, too.

I used the new Party Favor 8 die to make a box to hold a necklace I made from CSS’s pink felt and one of the mini bow dies. The box is cut from pink cardstock—you need 12x12 cardstock to cut the box out. Before assembling the box, I used a circle die from the Shapes: Circles set to make a window that I covered with acetate. The window reveals the necklace when the box’s flap is opened, but keeps the necklace securely tucked in place. To keep the flap on the box closed, I made a belly band from gray cardstock. I added a decorative label, cut with a Labels 9 die and stamped with the matching frame image found in the Trinket Sentiments stamp set. I stamped the “just for you” sentiment inside the frame, then added a small bow made with one of the Bow Trio Mini dies beneath it.

I made the necklace found inside the box with one of CSS’s Bow Trio Large dies, pink felt, and some jewelry findings I picked up at the craft store. After die cutting the bow from felt, I used a needle and thread and some fabric glue to assemble it securely. It’s attached to the silver chain with jump rings. It took about 10 minutes to assemble this super trendy and inexpensive accessory. I slipped it inside the box along with a piece of white cardstock to keep it from sliding around.

Don't miss what the other CSS designers have wrapped up for you today. Here's where to find them:
