Sweet Birthday Wishes

Here's my card for this week's Seize the Birthday sketch challenge.  I used the WPlus9 Fresh Picked set for my feminine birthday design.

I die cut two strawberry shapes using the Fresh Picked dies, then stamped the coordinating images onto the die cut pieces using Memento's Love Letter and Pear Tart inks.  After arranging the berry pair on a white panel, I added the "sweet birthday wishes" sentiment in the open space using Love Letter ink.

I kept the red and green color scheme from the berries going for the rest of the card.  Most of the cardfront is covered with a green on green patterned paper.  A red fishtail flag strip at the center of the card adds a nice contrast to the green.  I dressed up the green strip that runs across the card with a bit of white lace.  The lace is a sweet, feminine detail that doesn't add much bulk to the card.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers:  WPlus9 Fresh Picked stamp set and Fresh Picked dies, Tsukineko Memento Love Letter and Pear Tart inks, Echo Park Bundle of Joy 6x6 paper pad, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other:  Real Red and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Spring Moss cardstock (Papertrey Ink); circle dies (Spellbinders); Fishtail Flag Stax die (My Favorite Things); white lace trim (May Arts)
