You Make My Heart Race

Here’s my card for this week’s sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch. I went with a classic black, white, and red color scheme for my love themed design.

For the sketch’s line element, I cut a trio of chevron strips from black cardstock and arranged them on a white panel. I stamped the “you make my heart race” sentiment from the Zoom Goes My Heart set from The Craft’s Meow on the widest strip in silver ink. It didn't photograph great, but the shine from the silver looks greatIRL!   I added a red felt heart to the top of the chevron strips for a pop of contrasting color. The panel is layered on a red mat, then adhered to a black card base to set off the simple design.

Materials Used:
Zoom Goes My Heart stamp set (The Craft’s Meow); Real Red, Basic Black, and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Encore Silver ink (Tsukineko); chevron die (My Favorite Things); Heart Prints die (Papertrey Ink)
