Color Throwdown 243-You Anchor Me

It’s time for another Color Throwdown! Denise is our hostess this week. She’s chosen Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist, Basic Black, and White as our colors based on this photo of a cool vintage car.

The layout for my card comes from the current Deconstructed Sketch. I used the Wicked Nauticool set from Paper Smooches for my design. I die cut the anchor shape using the matching Nauticool die set, then stamped the image on the die cut piece in gray ink for a metal-like look. It’s set on a white panel with dimensional dots. I die cut solid strips of Wild Wasabi and Daffodil Delight cardstock for the fishtail flag panels beneath the anchor. The “you anchor me” sentiment is stamped on the yellow strip in black ink. The pieces are arranged on a piece of blue patterned paper. I added a solid strip of Marina Mist cardstock to the left edge of the patterned paepr before matting it on a black panel and adhering it to a white card base.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD243. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and May's guest designer, Audrey Hiltke.
