Congrats

Here’s my card for this week’s Muse challenge. I was inspired by the layout of Jen’s card, plus the positioning of the elements on the large panel.

My version is perfect for a graduation card. I used a silver star as my focal image. Instead of accenting the star with washi tape, I used a clear crystal flourish extending out from underneath the image. The star and flourish are adhered to a dark blue panel with a debossed dot pattern. I attached a strip of silver washi tape at the bottom of the panel and wrapped it with some silver cord before adhering the panel to a dark gray mat.

The panel is set at the top of a light aqua card base. I stamped the “congrats” sentiment from Lawn Fawn’s So Much to Say stamp set just underneath the image panel in Versafine Deep Lagoon ink—such a pretty color!

Materials Used:
So Much to Say stamp set (Lawn Fawn); Versafine Deep Lagoon ink (Tsukineko); Sea Glass cardstock (Avery Elle); Enchanted Evening cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Steel Grey cardstock (My Favorite Things); silver paper (Target); clear crystal flourish, silver cord (Michaels); Polka Dots embossing folder (Cuttlebug); silver decorative tape; corner rounder; foam tape
