C-Ya

Here's my card for this week's summer holiday themed challenge at The Paper Players.  The new CutUps Glasses die from The Cat's Pajamas is perfect for a summer themed design!  Here, I used the glasses as sunglasses with a few fun details.

I die cut the sunglasses from red cardstock, then filled in the lenses with scraps of shiny silver paper for a mirrored look.  For even more sparkle and shine, I added a clear crystal embellishment on each side of the frames.

The frames are set over a multicolored star patterned circle panel.  The panel is adhered to a white panel along with a strip of teal tape.  I stamped the "cya" sentiment from the new Small Sayings stamp set inside a tiny speech bubble from the same set.  Those new tiny sentiments and shapes are perfect for adding just a little something to a card!

Materials Used:
Small Sayings stamp set, CutUps Glasses die (The Cat's Pajamas); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); Party Teal Dawn cardstock (Clear and Simple Stamps); Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); My Girl 6x6 paper pad (My Mind's Eye); circle dies (Spellbinders); silver paper, decorative tape (Target); clear crystals (Darice); foam tape
