Hey There

Here’s my card for this week’s Fusion challenge. I combined the sketch with elements from the inspiration photo for this clean and simple masculine design.

In a nod to the colorful patterns on the ties in the inspiration photo, I cut four squares of plaid patterned paper to adhere to a kraft card base. Each plaid panel is backed with a piece of orange cardstock to set it off from the kraft. The squares looked a little plain, so I added a pair of coppery circle embellishments to one and a golden yellow die cut arrow to another. I stamped the “hey there” sentiment from the WPlus9 Strictly Sentiments 2 set beneath the point of the arrow in orange ink.

Materials Used:
Strictly Sentiments 2 stamp set (WPlus9); Vivid Butterscotch ink (Clearsnap); Tangerine Tango cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Harvest Gold cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); Collectable-"Notable" 6x6 paper pad (My Mind’s Eye); Lead the Way dies (My Favorite Things); copper circle embellishments (TPC Studio)

  1. This is a fun card - I love how you fused the challenge elements for it. The copper circles are a great way to balance the arrow at the right, which I LOVE! Cool way to draw attention to the sentiment, too. Love it! Thank you so much for joining us at Fusion this week. ;-)
