Miss You

Here’s my entry for this month’s Avery Elle AEI♥U challenge—and just under the wire, too. I put together this super simple design inspired by all the different shades of blue in the inspiration photo.

I stamped the long border image from the Celebrate stamp set three times on a piece of Avery Elle’s Sea Glass cardstock (love, love, love this color!), each time using a different shade of blue ink. I think I managed to get them fairly evenly spaced and straight, too! The “I miss you” sentiment from the Handwritten Notes set is stamped just above the top line in the lightest shade of blue ink.

To keep things simple while adding just a little sparkle, I scattered a few sequins in among the lines, varying their color and size to add interest. The finished panel is set on a contrasting navy blue card base.

In other news, i {heart} papers (my favorite place to get my Avery Elle stamps and dies!) is having its first open design team call since 2008 when the doors first opened.  If you're not familiar with IHP--go check it out now! Kate carries the latest and greatest from all of your favorite companies, including stamps, dies, designer paper, and embellishments.  If you're interested in joining the IHP DT, now is your chance.  You can find all the details on the call here.   Good luck!

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Avery Elle Celebrate and Handwritten Notes stamp sets, Tsukineko Memento Bahama Blue, Danube Blue, and Nautical Blue inks

Other: Sea Glass cardstock (Avery Elle); Night of Navy cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); sequins (Michaels)
