Waving Hello

Here’s a simple nautical design I created using this week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. I used the Paper Smooches Wicked Nauticool stamp set and the coordinating Nauticool dies to put this one together.

I colored the sailboat image with Spectrum Noir markers, then used dimensional dots to attach it to a panel with a pale blue cardstock “sky” and some patterned paper “water.” There was just enough room on the panel to stamp the set’s “waving hello” sentiment at the top in blue ink.

I layered the scene on a red cardstock panel, then added a few notch-ended strips at the bottom. The scene is adhered to a light blue panel embossed with a rounded chevron pattern. I wrapped the left edge of the panel with red baker’s twine before adhering it to a blue card base.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Paper Smooches Wicked Nauticool stamp set and Nauticool dies, Crafter’s Companion ultrasmooth white cardstock, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black and Bahama Blue inks, Spectrum Noir markers (BT1, BT2, EB3, EB4, EB5, IG5), Lily Bee Design Pinwheel 6x6 paper pad, Lifestyle Crafts Jubilant embossing folder, Divine Twine red baker’s twine, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other: Real Red, Soft Sky, and Bermuda Bay cardstock (Stampin’ Up!)
