Wedding Wishes

This week’s blogger challenge theme is wedding. I used this week’s sketch from Retro Sketches to create this whimsical wedding card.

The focal image is the car from Papertrey Ink’s Enjoy the Ride stamp set. I die cut the car from white cardstock and stamped the matching outline and solid images on the die cut piece. I added a little color with markers on the headlights and windshield and colored the bumper with a metallic silver gel pen. I used foam tape to set the colored image on a gray dotted panel.

The set’s “wedding wishes” sentiment is stamped underneath the car in black ink. After wrapping some shiny silver ribbon around the panel, I adhered it to a golden yellow card base with a coordinating patterned paper panel along the left edge.

Materials Used:
Enjoy the Ride stamp set, Harvest Gold cardstock, Enjoy the Ride die (Papertrey Ink); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Steel Grey cardstock (My Favorite Things); Carolina Breeze 6x6 paper pad (Teresa Collins); scallop edge punch (Stampin’ Up!); silver satin ribbon (Target); self-adhesive pearls (Michaels); silver gel pen (Signo); Bow Easy; foam tape
