Color Throwdown 250-Come Celebrate with Us!

It’s time for another Color Throwdown! This isn’t just any Color Throwdown—it’s our 5th anniversary and our 250th challenge, too. Thanks so much for playing along with us each week! We’re celebrating the occasion with a fabulous assortment prizes from many of your favorite companies. We’re also thrilled to be welcoming back many of our talented past designers and guest designers for this week’s challenge. I’m the hostess for this special challenge. I picked colors inspired by these fun, summery flip flops—So Saffron, Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, and Crumb Cake/Kraft.

I used the colors along with the current sketch from the Clean and Simple Stamping blog for my card. I managed to use all of the challenge colors on my focal image, the chick from the Paper Smooches Chubby Chums set. The chick is colored with Spectrum Noir markers and adhered to a round panel with dimensional dots. I set the circle on a piece of striped patterned paper, then added the “hey chickie” sentiment on a fishtail flag strip beneath the image. The sentiment strip is dressed up with a twine tied golden yellow button and some pretty teal blue trim. A few enamel dots scattered around the image panel complete the design.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. The linky tool will be open until Tuesday, July 16 at midnight, Eastern time. Prize winners will be announced on the CTD blog on Thursday, July 18. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD250. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and July's guest designer, Stacey Schafer.
