Color Throwdown 252-Hello

It’s time for another Color Throwdown! This week’s challenge is hosted by Tammy. She’s chosen Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Rich Razzleberry as our colors.

I put together this cheery card using the colors along with stamps and dies from Avery Elle. I stamped the “hello” sentiment from the Oh Yeah set on a Berry Sorbet panel (my closest equivalent to SU!’s Strawberry Slush cardstock), then added an arrow, cut with the one of the coordinating Oh Yeah dies, to the top of the panel. I attached a Melon Berry (again, my closest equivalent to the SU! color) strip along the top edge of the panel and wrapped the strip with a little white twine, finishing it off with a tiny bow.

The panel is set on an aqua card base over a fishtail flag strip cut from dotted patterned paper. I tucked half of a white paper doily underneath the left edge of the panel and fishtail flag strip. For a little more texture and dimension, I attached a trio of enamel dots to the sentiment panel. The dots are a cantaloupe-ish color and add a fun touch to the design.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD252. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and July's guest designer, Stacey Schafer.
