Hot Dog

Here's my card for the current Lawnscaping sketch challenge.  I used the Critters at the Dog Park stamp set and matching dies to put together this cheery design.

I used the dachshund as my focal image.  It's colored with Spectrum Noir markers and adhered to the round panel with dimensional dots.  I stamped one of the clouds from the Sunny Skies set on a scrap of white cardstock and embossed the cloud with a dotted pattern to give it texture before adding it to the top of the image panel.  For a pop of color against the white cloud, I threaded some orange baker's twine through an orange button to make a sun.

The panel is adhered to a yellow card base on top of a yellow chevron patterned notch-ended strip.  I machine stitched along the top of the strip to anchor it.  The "hot dog" sentiment is stamped on an orange strip and added over the top of the two panels for a final pop of color.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers:  Lawn Fawn Critters at the Dog Park and Sunny Skies stamp sets, Critters at the Dog Park dies, Crafter's Companion ultrasmooth white cardstock, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black and Gray Flannel inks, Spectrum Noir markers (TN3, TN5, TN7, TN8, IG3), My Mind's Eye Collectable "Notable" and Boy Crazy 6x6 paper pads, Lifestyle Crafts Spotted embossing folder, Divine Twine orange baker's twine, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other:  Harvest Gold cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Turquoise Sea cardstock (Gina K Designs); Orange Fizz cardstock (My Favorite Things)
