Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 188-Reel Great

It’s time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! I combined the sketch with this week's Paper Smooches SPARKS ocean themed trend watch challenge.

I used some striped patterned paper and a strip of border punched vellum to make a watery background.  I stamped the fishing rod from the My Guy set on the patterned paper, just above the vellum.  The fish image was stamped on a scrap of white cardstock, colored with Spectrum Noir markers and cut out, then adhered to the end of the rod with dimensional dots.  I stamped the "you're reel great" sentiment along the bottom of the panel over the vellum.

The ocean panel is arranged over a contrasting yellow cardstock panel with a strip of orange cardstock across it.  The orange cardstock is wrapped with orange twine to add some texture.  I added a button tied with the same twine at the bottom corner of the image panel.  The pieces are set on a patterned paper panel that has the same orange, yellow, and blue as the rest of the card.

To play along, just create a card based on the sketch and link it up on Karen’s blog. For lots of inspiration be sure to check out what the other Sweet Sunday Sketch stampers have created for you this week. Here’s where to find them:
