You Have My Heart

Here's a super simple design for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I used some older patterned paper with a new sentiment stamp to put this one together pretty quickly.

I found some argyle and heart patterned paper in my stash and decided to pair it with the "you have my heart" sentiment from the My Favorite Things Bold Sentiments set.  I stamped the sentiment in blue ink on a white panel edged with blue strips.  To get the slanted piece nice and even with the edges of the panel, I adhered the stamped strip to the patterned paper, then trimmed off the excess that extended beyond the edges of the panel.

I added a pair of heart accents to the sentiment strip--first, a teeny heart brad to the top of the letter "a" in the word "heart" and then, a die cut felt heart.  The heart's stitched edges echo the stitched pattern seen in the paper.  The finished panel is adhered to a coordinating blue card base.

Materials Used:
Bold Statements stamp set (My Favorite Things); Vivid Beach Glass ink (Clearsnap); Sea Glass cardstock (Avery Elle); Whisper White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Alphabet Soup Girl "Lovely" designer paper (My Mind's Eye); heart brad (Making Memories); heart die (Lil' Inker Designs); pink felt
