Better Get Better

Here’s my card for this week’s My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. A recently retired former co-worker took a nasty fall at her home last week, so I used the sketch to make a get well card to send her to let her know I’m thinking of her and hoping she's back on her feet soon.

I used the Pure Innocence Better Get Better set for my focal image. I colored the image with Copic markers and cut it out, then adhered it to a white panel with foam tape.  I stamped the set’s “better get better” sentiment beneath the image in orange ink.

I layered the colored image on an aqua panel, then on a kraft panel. The image is set on a floral patterned paper with an orange cardstock panel at the bottom. Instead of using a strip of washi tape at the top of the image panel, I replaced the tape with a small bandage. I thought it was a fitting embellishment for a get well card!

Materials Used:
Pure Innocence Better Get Better stamp set, Orange Fizz cardstock (My Favorite Things); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Vivid Butterscotch ink (Clearsnap); Aqua Mist cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); Alphabet Soup Girl “Baby Blocks” designer paper (My Mind’s Eye); foam tape
