Make a Wish

Here's my card for the current 10 Minute Craft Dash.  The theme is birthdays, so I put this fun star themed design together for the challenge.

The layout is inspired by the current sketch at the Clean and Simple Stamping blog.  I stamped the largest star image from Verve's Polka Stars set first in the lightest of my trio of ink colors, then went back and filled in the space left with the two smaller star images.  The "make a wish" sentiment from Verve's Birthday Bash stamp set is stamped in blue ink in the upper left hand section of the stamped panel.  I matted the panel on a piece of teal cardstock, then set it on a green card base.

I still had a little time left, so I fished around for some sequins and added a trio of green ones in the open spaces around the stars.  Even with adding the sequins, I still had time left over.  This design clocked in at 7 minutes, 26 seconds from start to finish!

Materials Used:
Polka Stars and Birthday Bash stamp sets (Verve Stamps); Memento Teal Zeal, Pear Tart, and Dandelion inks (Tsukineko); Taken with Teal cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Spring Moss cardstock (Papertrey Ink); lime green sequins (Treehouse Studios)
