Halloween Fun

The Clear and Simple Stamps Collection 8 release continues today with a look at the stamps and dies in the Halloween series. The series includes the latest addition to the Party Elements lineup, Party Elements: 31. This set is perfect for creating spooky goodies of all kinds for Halloween. I used the set with the new Party Favor 14 die to make a card and treat ensemble.

The set’s web label makes a great focal image for my card. I stamped the label on Orange You Fabulous cardstock and filled in the space with the “Happy Halloween” sentiment included in the set. It’s matted on a black circle and adhered over a piece of graphic print black and cream patterned paper using foam tape. The patterned paper panel is anchored to the I Steel Got It cardstock with a strip of striped orange washi tape. A few copper sequins scattered around the label panel give the card a little sparkle and shine.

To go with the card, I die cut the Party Favor 14 box from the same gray cardstock. Before assembling it, I stamped the spider border image repeatedly near the bottom in black ink. I assembled the box with the help of some of CSS’s Simple Adhesive, then wrapped a piece of orange striped washi tape around the box just underneath the stamped spiders to bring in an element from the card other than the color scheme. I die cut an orange tag using one of the Mini Labels Tags dies and stamped the set’s “Halloween treats” sentiment on it. It’s attached to the top of the die cut box with a brad. I hid the brad with an orange button tied with black twine.
