Happy Fall

This week’s blogger challenge theme is “welcome fall.” I used my Reverse Confetti Forever Fall set and this week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for this fall design.

I stamped the “happy fall” sentiment in brown ink on an orange panel. I used the new Memento Luxe ink in Rich Cocoa—love, love, love these inks! After matting the panel on a coordinating brown mat and setting it on an orange dotted patterned paper panel, I added a fishtail flag strip cut from burlap over the end of the panel. The burlap’s a great accent piece for a fall design. I found a roll of laminated burlap at the craft store and the laminate really helps the die cut burlap hold its shape and not unravel so much. I stamped the set’s woodgrain heart and acorn images on kraft cardstock and cut them out, then added them to the burlap flag. They’re topped with an orange baker’s twine tied button.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Reverse Confetti Forever Fall stamp set, Tsukineko Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa ink, Lily Bee Design Pinwheel 6x6 paper pad, Divine Twine orange baker’s twine

other: Pumpkin Pie and Close to Cocoa cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Die-namics Fishtail Flag Stax die (My Favorite Things); burlap (Michaels); orange button
