Sunshine and Smiles

Here's my card for this week's sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch.  A few die cut pieces helped to put this design together pretty quickly.

I represented the branches in the opposite corners of the panel with layered die cut clouds.  To add interest to what would be otherwise pretty plain white clouds, I used a perforated cloud die and shimmery white cardstock.  An orange die cut sun is layered over the clouds in the top left corner of the panel for a pop of color.  I added a gingham circle to the center to bring in a little bit of pattern, too.

The "wishing you sunshine and smiles" sentiment from the Lil' Inker Designs Sun Sentiments set is heat embossed on the panel in orange embossing powder.  The finished panel is layered on a darker blue card base.

Materials Used:
Sun Sentiments stamp set, cloud and sun dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Brocade Blue, Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, and Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Orange Zest patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); circle punch (EK Success); Zing Apricot embossing powder (American Crafts); foam tape
