Celebrate

Here's my card for this week's sketch from Retro Sketches.  I used a little bit of washi tape and some stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs to put together a fun birthday card based on the sketch.

I picked two different coordinating washi tapes from my stash and alternated strips of the tapes on a white panel, leaving a gap for the sentiment.  The "celebrate" sentiment from the You're Invited stamp set is stamped in the gap in blue ink.

I used the party hats die set to make a festive party hat for the top of the card.  The little pom pom on the top of the hat is dotted with a small white enamel dot, mimicking the pattern on the green dotted tape.  The finished panel is layered on a green mat, then set on a turquoise card base.

Materials Used:
You're Invited stamp set, party hat die (Lil' Inker Designs); Green Galore and Pacific Point cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Turquoise Sea cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Memento Bahama Blue ink (Tsukineko); green dotted and striped washi tapes (Michaels); white enamel dot (Doodlebug Design); foam tape
