Love and Cheer

Here’s a clean and simple design for the current sketch at Seize the Sketch. I used stamps and dies from Lil’ Inker Designs for a holiday card that came together in less than 10 minutes.

After adhering a black fishtail flag strip to a red cardstock panel, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Instant Camera set in silver ink on the black strip. The shimmery silver looks so nice against the black! To top the fishtail flag strip, I die cut a snowflake from a piece of silver glitter paper. It’s adhered with a glue dot to keep the cardfront pretty flat for easy mailing. For just a bit more sparkle, I added a clear crystal to the center of the glittery flake. The finished panel is adhered to a white card base. Clean and simple and quick—I should keep this one in mind when I’m getting ready to make my holiday cards this year . . .

Materials Used:
Instant Camera stamp set and Snowflake dies (Lil’ Inker Designs); Encore Silver ink (Tsukineko); Real Red and Basic Black cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); silver glitter paper, clear crystal (Michaels); Die-namics Fishtail Flag Stax die (My Favorite Things)
