Merci

Here's my card for this month's Avery Elle AEI♥U challenge. I used the sketch with a "classic" Avery Elle set, Petals and Stems, for this feminine thank you card.

I used a piece of blue dotted paper as the backdrop for my card--I love the somewhat unexpected pale pink dots with the blue!  The patterned paper is topped with a paper doily with a pale pink circle in the center.

I die cut a light blue tag using the large tag die from Avery Elle's Simply Tags die set and adhered that to the pink circle, then added one of the pretty flowers from the Petals and Stems set on top.  The flower and leaves were stamped with Memento Luxe inks--they work beautifully with solid images like these.

The "merci" sentiment is stamped in the open space above the flower in dark pink ink.  I scattered a trio of pink sequins round the flower and sentiment for a little sparkle and shine.  The finished panel is adhered to a dark pink cardfront to bring in just a bit more of that color to the design.
